OUT WITH THE OLD
OWTO was written when it was a difficult time for me. I was a server at a demeaning restaurant and in an unfulfilling relationship. I began to write for therapy. Two years later I decided to quit my payroll job and pursue my film career. I then came up with the idea to direct and produce a script written in the past, Out with the Old.
I began my journey with a script reading party. After receiving a grand reaction to the script, I knew this was the one to shoot. I first had virtual auditions where people submitted their audition tapes.
Simultaneously I was creating my storyboard and coming up with the production schedule.
After we selected our star cast. I began hiring the crew. From then it was rehearsals, walkthroughs, and finally production. The first day was an unreal experience. I couldn’t believe that what I wrote 2 years ago would come to fruition. After one year of long nights and early mornings, I completed my first feature film and premiered it in May 2021.

Recent college graduate, Grace Jones, has just been laid off from her law firm and is forced to work at a demeaning soul food restaurant. Grace has just about had it with her lazy, long-term boyfriend, and she is ready for something new; a new boyfriend that is. Grace sets her sights on someone who can appreciate her, while trying to land a dream job. Grace soon realizes that new love isn't so easy to find.
